Ashland, the home of Henry Clay, a Kentucky politician during the 19th century, sits on a large piece of land. The site consists of a large mansion, a walled-in garden, and several out buildings, including ice houses. Since I grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, I have known this site all my life.
